Pogorelica se nalazi jugoistočno od Zec planine i pripada planinskom masivu Vranice. Najviši vrh je Kozice 1437 mnv. Pejzaž je vrlo sličan onome na Vranici i Zec planini, sa blagim uzbrdicama i terenom kojim se nije teško kretati.
